Transfer Week: November 9, 2011 - Departures

On the morning of transfer day, missionaries gather at the Visitor's Center to say good-bye to former companions and friends.  After their farewells, they go to the Washington Stake Center to meet up with their new companions and get ready to transfer luggage and bikes to their new area.
Sister DeAgostini wishes the Bowens well as they get ready to complete their mission.  Notice the Christmas tree in the background.  The trees will be decorated by surrounding stakes before the beginning of December.

Elder Tolman, who is leaving, and Elder Shigeta, former companion, ham it up for the camera.

As there are many sisters who come into the Visitor's Center anyway, this becomes  natural setting for group pictures.

Elder and Sister Bowen, who have been serving in the Visitor's Center, join us in this farewell picture. They served 18 months and left November 11to begin their journey cross country.

After the testimony meeting, we take more pictures as we bid one another good-bye.

Brother and Sister Miller picked up Elder Aru to take him back to Harrisburg, PA.

Sister Chan bids farewell before leaving for Hong Kong. We could be related, couldn't we????

Elder Kunzler before leaving for Utah.

I almost didn't add this picture.  We really are still in the airport terminal, not in front of a wine bar.  Also, I was hoping to get by without any pictures with my eyes closed. Sorry  Elder Stewart.  I hope your camera shot is better.
