Part of a missionary's life is service. Service takes many forms, from helping a member with their yard work or moving furniture for an investigator. Each year the Salvation Army asks us to provide missionaries who help prepare the food that will be served to the homeless on Thanksgiving Day. This event takes place at the convention center where thousands of homeless are fed.
In 2010 the missionaries went in several shifts over a period of three days. They cut pies, mashed potatoes, and helped prepare the serving area.
