Washington South and Silver Spring North Zone Conference, June 26, 2012

Zone conference is a great time for instruction and also for seeing former companions.

Elder Standing, Elder Valdetano, Elder Hansen, Elder Alca and Elder Long after setting tables for me. They were available because they didn't have cars that needed to be checked.

This, by the way, is what your vehicle looks like after someone follows too closely in Washington traffic.

Elder Searle gets ready to play the prelude music while Elder Wery assists in locating the music.

Each zone meets in separate locations and the zone leaders determine how the rooms are set up for teaching.
Elder Pound in front of tables and chairs for Silver Spring North Zone.

Elder Brown instructs about the plan of salvation.

The missionaries in this zone had assigned seats - partly to demonstrate the principle of how you might feel if you lost your agency.

Elder Pound and Elder Wang train on the plan of salvation as well.

Elder Moss and Elder Benke demonstrate teaching the plan while Elder Standing watches.

Role play groups.

More role play groups.

Some rooms are so crowded, the missionaries find themselves seated partially in a different room. Sister Gros and Elder Anderson make up one group.

Lunch was provided by just one woman from the Bethesda ward. She ordered the sandwiches and purchased the other items at the store.  We thought she was remarkable.

Zone conference is a natural distribution time for packages.  Sometimes, however, it is not a discreet way of receiving your mail.  Such was the case for the missionary (who will remain anonymous) who received this package.  I would have teased him  more, but the rest of the missionaries took care of that.
