Transfer week - Departing temple and breakfast: June, July 2012

The reason the departing temple trip was so early this time was because the temple was closed for annual cleaning.  It seemed a little early to be gathering for what people knew was a farewell of sorts.  However, we trust that the great departing missionaries were still able to get back and focus on the work for their final few weeks.

Breakfast for the departing missionaries was held on the normal day at the mission home. It's always hard to say good-bye to the missionaries because we have grown to love them so much. This group will, however, hold a special place because they were the first group we welcomed to the mission.
Sister Marcy and Sister Allen check their scrapbook pages.

Three sisters who will leaving this transfer are Sister Marcy, Sister Allen and Sister Cadenhead.  All of them are in the Spanish program.

Around the table clockwise from the left: Elder Croft (not departing), Sister Allen, Sister Marcy, Sister Cadenhead,  Elder Pierucci and Elder Webb.
In the background cooking pancakes: Elder Greiner and Elder Kerby.

Elder Greiner an Elder Kerby sign some other "farewell" remembrances.

Left to right: Elder Croft, Elder Hatch, Elder Pierucci, and Elder Hurd.
Sister Allen is busy visiting at the table and Elder Croft is reading the book containing Dear John letters.  Usually we save those for those who are leaving.

Left to right: Elder Schaap, Elder Kennedy, Elder Hurd, Elder Benke, Elder Pierucci, Elder Fowles and Elder Hatch.  All of these missionaries have changed a lot since entering  the mission field.  Some of the changes you can't see.  Others are very visible.  Check out the next pictures to see if you can tell who they are of this group.

Thanks to Elder Schaap's mother, Sister Matsumori and President Matsumori wear aprons that have "built in" nametags.
