Trainers and trainee meeting: February 28, 2013

While many aspects of this meeting are consistent, the missionaries change and so the dynamics change. This was a great training because all of the missionaries were so wonderful. In addition to having different missionaries this time was the fact that the Chevy Chase Chapel was being cleaned and so we met at the Washington Stake Center instead. So some of the scenery may seem different to you loyal followers.

There were twelve new arrivals.  Here they are with their companions.
Elder Tavana and Elder Raasveld

Elder Farley and Elder Anderson

Elder Jellitto and Elder Gardner

Sister Lawrence and Sister Graff

Elder Radford and Elder Horowitz

Elder Synelnikov and Elder Ealy

Elder Standing and Elder Malugin

Elder Bates and Elder Hansen

Elder Peterson and Elder Owens

Elder Centeno and Elder Owens

Elder Gremillion and Elder Peterson

Elder Branning and Elder Guerrero

One of the missionaries favorite times is to breakout into groups of new arrivals....

One of the things we love to do at this meeting is to play a game.

In this scripture chase, Elder Standing has the answer first.

Everyone continues to look for scriptures.

Elder Anderson celebrates that Elder Owens has found one of the scriptures.

Sister Lawrence and Sister Graff show their nerf gun abilities while President Matsumori watches.

Elder Sanchez checks Elder Standing and Elder Malugin's shooting ability.

Elder Bates and Elder Hansen stand ready to find rules in the White Handbook.

Practicing or role plays is an important part of learning to be a good teacher. Here are the groups.

It doesn't happen very frequently, but occasionally we are at a meeting on a missionary's birthday.  Such is the case today.  So I "made a cake" of Peep candies for Elder Johnson.
We sing Happy Birthday to Elder Johnson.

Elder Johnson grabs his candle adorned rabbit before we pass it to everyone else.
