Transfer week: January 25-26, Temple trip and breakfast

Once again the departing missionaries gathered at the temple. Many other missionaries were there as well to say good-bye, but also to go to the temple.

These photographs were taken after the temple session.  You'll notice how nice the weather is for the end of January.

Elder Kiel is the lucky passenger for Elder Bott's careful driving.

Other elders gather after the temple.  There were no sisters here today because there were no sisters departing this transfer.

Elder Hurd and Elder Carver get their personalized treats from Brother Weitzner.  Brother Henricksen is from the White Plains ward and he drives the elders up every transfer and then brings home the new missionaries.   He also brings apples that he distributes to all of the missionaries at that time.

Breakfast is served! The day after the temple the missionaries who are leaving gather at the mission home to meet with the president and to eat.  It's always fun to see what combinations of flavors the missionaries choose for their pancakes.

Elder Grant and Elder Fawcett sign the guestbook.

Elder Kiel preferred regular pancakes with syrup.

Elder Fawcett begins the making of many pancakes.

Elder Grant watches carefully the progress of his pancakes.

And we try one group photo at the mission home: Elder Grant, Elder Fawcett, Elder Kiel and Elder Nowlin.
